The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a open rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position in its Computer Engineering program in the privacy-preserving technologies area of cybersecurity. Candidates with a strong record of interdisciplinary research in emerging areas are preferred. We particularly welcome applications from female scholars as well as members of traditionally underrepresented groups. The successful candidate will become affiliated with the NYUAD Center for Cyber Security (https://sites.nyuad.nyu.edu/ccs-ad/), which is in close collaboration with NYU New York Center for Cyber Security (https://cyber.nyu.edu/).

Successful candidates will receive a generous startup package, as well as renewable research funding to hire research assistants and postdocs, and will also have access to internal funding. It is also expected that the successful candidate will become Associated Faculty of NYU that allows research privileges and access to programs and facilities at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in New York.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and must have demonstrated an ability to develop and lead high-quality research and attract competitive external funding.

The deadline for applications is November15, 2022, but the committee will begin reviewing candidate files immediately. Shortlisted candidates are expected to interview in Spring 2023. We anticipate that successful candidates can start the appointment and relocate to Abu Dhabi in the academic year 2023-2024, subject to final budget approval.
