Under the supervision of the Provost, this new position will provide an exciting opportunity to develop and build the university’s online and international programming. The Dean will strategically expand online education and build international engagement at Oregon’s Polytechnic University – Oregon Tech. Responsibilities in online education will include review of online programs and development of a long-term strategic plan to create a portfolio of growing online programs and offerings, including global programming. The dean will work collaboratively with administration, staff and faculty to develop policies, plans, marketing and recruitment to increase enrollment, maintain academic quality, and support students via online course delivery. The dean will work with the college deans and department chairs to optimize online course schedules. The dean serves as a liaison with statewide peers in online education and is responsible for compliance with state authorization requirements nationwide. The Dean will also coordinate the advancement of global engagement at Oregon Tech, leading academic efforts and working with the international committee and across campus to strengthen internationalization efforts and embrace diversity amongst faculty, staff and students. In this role, the Dean will coordinate development of academic opportunities including study abroad programs, expansion of international student services and admissions support and build and support initiatives and student engagement opportunities. The Dean will coordinate closely with leadership in academics, student services and enrollment management to coordinate efforts to create infrastructure, both physical and process-based, determine staffing needs, and support each VP as they plan and build the necessary groundwork to sustain successful operations.
Department Information:
Oregon Tech Online delivers online and blended courses to both degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking students located online, on-campus, or on-site. The office supports the institution mission by extending its outreach beyond the local Klamath Falls area and delivering courses that support academic majors offered by the institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Five+ years of experience working in international student services or other areas closely related to international education, student development, or immigration Knowledge of SEVIS reporting requirements, federal laws and regulations pertaining to international students in F-1 status, CPT and OPT status Experience living, working, and/or studying abroad
Additional Requirements:
- Ph.D. required. Five years of experience developing and managing online programs in a college or university setting. Teaching experience, preferably online. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of constituencies – faculty, staff and students. Ability to work independently and proactively as a facilitator in developing programming and organizational structure Three (3) years of experience with international education and recruitment. Understanding of US immigration policy as it pertains to Higher Education Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills Experience successfully collaborating across department or unit boundaries to meet organizational goals
