GENERAL PURPOSE
The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University seeks a full-time faculty member with a clinical background as a Registered Respiratory Therapist along with experience in, and enthusiasm for, teaching, student evaluation, professional service, and community service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach lecture courses, labs, and clinical practice in all areas of Respiratory Therapy
- Supervise and evaluate clinical experiences
- Mentor and advise students
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences
- Provide service to the College, School of Nursing and Health Sciences, profession, and community
- Support the mission, values, and goals of the College and the Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences
- Other duties, as required
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must possess a master’s degree from a regionally accredited academic institution.
The candidate should:
- hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and be eligible for unencumbered NY state license.
- have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
- have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program, either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor
DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
In additional to the minimum qualifications, the following are desirable:
- NPS, CPFT, RPFT, SDS, and ACCS credentials
- CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
