Associate Provost for Finance and Military Affairs

The Office of the Provost at the United States Naval Academy invites applicants for the position of Associate Provost for Finance and Military Affairs beginning as early as March of 2023. Applications will be reviewed beginning on 1 December 2022 for first consideration, but the position will remain open until filled.

The United States Naval Academy (USNA) is a four-year undergraduate institution with a mission to prepare midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically for commissioning as officers in the naval services. The APFMA serves as part of the Provost's staff, and is responsible for all matters relating to the Academic Cost Center budgets and military faculty.  Specifically, the APFMA is responsible for all financial matters in support of the Naval Academy’s academic program, including operation of the Provost’s Budget Office, as well as all matters relating to military instructors at the Naval Academy.  The APFMA serves as a key liaison with Navy leadership on matters of budget and staffing, and works closely with the Vice Provost in development of the civilian faculty hiring plan and processes.  In addition, the APFMA is responsible for management of the civilian merit pay process each year.
