Job Summary

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice is seeking to hire part-time instructors for four courses for the Spring 2023 semester:

  1. Introduction to Sociology, MWF 10:30-11:35 AM
  2. Social Problems, Wednesdays 6:30-9:50 PM
  3. Sociology of Childhood and Youth, MW 1:00-2:40 PM
  4. Introduction to Criminal Justice, MWF 10:30-11:35 AM

Essential Functions
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • Responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position include course preparation, teaching, grading and being available to students who have questions or require extra help.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • A keen interest in engaging students and fostering their learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
