Job Summary
The Bowdoin College Investment Office is managed by a team of nine, including a three-person Operations team that works from an on-campus office. The Business Operations Associate – Investments, will report to the Endowment Chief Operating Officer and play an integral role in all areas of back-office operations as well as collaboration in the oversight of the College’s endowment. The position will provide a broad range of responsibilities across investment operations, including processing cash flows and managing investment reporting. The associate will be required to exercise independent judgement regarding communication from investment managers, ensuring action items are processed or elevated appropriately.
- Salary range for this position is expected to be: Minimum $60,000 – Maximum $68,000
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, taking initiative, understanding priorities and delivering high quality work with little oversight.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field is preferred.
- High accuracy with data entry and record keeping maintaining the integrity of electronic and historical files
- Ability to handle high volume of detailed work in a fast-paced office, and sensitivity to strict confidentiality of data.
- Strong desire to support the work of a mission-driven organization.
- This position is subject to a criminal background + credit check
This is a full-time, year round position working on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Anticipated start date for the right candidate will be mid to late January 2023
