Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Neurosciences is seeking highly qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience and expertise. This is a renewable, 12-month, non-tenure-track position, with the majority of time devoted to teaching and advising undergraduate students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. The goal of this recently established program is to provide students with a deep understanding of modern Neuroscience at molecular, cellular and systems levels.

Responsibilities and Duties: The new faculty member will develop, direct, and teach several new undergraduate-level Neuroscience courses in areas including Systems Neuroscience/Neural Circuits and Behavioral Neuroscience. The faculty member will also contribute to team-taught courses, advise students in career planning and undergraduate research, and will work closely with faculty colleagues in the Department of Neurosciences to update the curriculum and develop other new courses.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field, previous experience as a Neuroscience teacher, either at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should have two years of teaching experience. Candidates at the Associate Professor level should have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience as well as a record of advising undergraduate students, developing new courses, and/or directing an educational program.
