The University of Tennessee at Martin seeks to fill the Department Chair position with the faculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor (depending on qualifications and experience) of Computer Science beginning July  1, 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. The position is a twelve-month appointment with 50% teaching and 50% administrative responsibilities. The candidate must hold the rank of Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field and must currently hold or have held, at least the rank of Associate tenured professor at their current institution. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in Computer Science accreditation and candidates must demonstrate administrative experience, leadership excellence, and experience mentoring students and junior faculty. The successful candidate must possess and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and service. Responsibilities include scheduling, planning, recruitment, teaching, advising, curriculum development, assessment activities, university service, and scholarly activity. A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and demonstrated English communication skills are required.

 

 

 

The Computer Science program at UT Martin is currently accredited under the ABET-CAC (Computing Accreditation Commission).
