JOB PURPOSE:  The Advancement Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst functions in a team environment, working closely with Advancement users throughout the division. This position acts as a business analyst developing and managing end-to-end analytic solutions to support the College’s Advancement operations. This role applies expertise in data science, data source design, and reporting; investigates and analyzes the feasibility of client requirements and develops analytical solutions. Solutions including but not limited to programmatic recommendations, decision support, KPI development/maintenance and dashboard development.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience:

• 2-5 years experience in data science methodology, utilizing data mining and machine learning techniques. Python or R is highly preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in envisioning, advocating, implementing, and maintaining analytical solutions; including complex analysis for strategic and decision-making support.
• Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart information to a range of clientele.
• Experience to support and leverage strong technical teams and complex business systems requirements and processes.
• Skills in workflow analysis and management knowledge and proven experience with leading projects using standard management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
• Experience at an academic institution is a plus.
• Experience with Cognos, Data Warehouse design and implementation, data warehousing life cycle, ETL, and dimensional modeling a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to multi-task and set task prioritizations

REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.  Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Travel will be required.  Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
