Position Summary
The Director of Planned and Estate Giving will be responsible for building the planned giving program and become an integral member of the development team. Through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of planned gift donors and prospects, the Director of Planned and Estate Giving will be accountable for planning, implementing, growing, and evaluating the overall gift planning program. The Director of Planned and Estate Giving will report to the Executive Director of Development and Advancement Services. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Five years experience with fund raising or related experience, with at least three years demonstrated success in securing planned and estate gifts
Experience work with diverse populations
Successful performance in an interview and passing a criminal background check Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree or a JD preferred
Extensive proposal development/management experience
Experience working with both senior-level officers and volunteers
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to analyze and manage competing priorities in a complex environment
Management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Ability and willingness to travel
Knowledge of prospect management systems and fund raising software preferred
