Assistant Track & Field Coach - Sprints

Chatham University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Track & Field Sprints Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for the development of the sprinters on Chatham University's Men's & Women's track & field teams.

The Assistant Coach will collaborate with the Head Coach to develop and implement sprints training on a daily basis. The Assistant Coach could also aid with other track & field related administrative duties, including but not limited to: meet entries, itineraries, recruiting, and on-campus athletic department duties. This is a paid, part-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with Head Coach.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes.
  • Build lasting rapport with coaching staff & athletes.
  • Write training plans.
  • Run event-specific practices.
  • Travel to meets.
  • Provide feedback to athletes & coaching staff.
  • Assist with relevant administrative duties.
  • Represent Chatham University.
Qualifications:
  • Track & Field participation and/or coaching experience preferred.
