Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the administration and dissemination of information for three residency programs in the
Departments of OBGYN, Urology, and *Head and Neck Surgery. The coordinator performs critical functions in a full range of
activities including committee support, ongoing coordination and compliance of each program's accreditation requirements,
adherence and interpretation of GME and house staff union policies, recruitment, program finance work/reimbursements,
onboarding/orientation, credentialing, evaluation, curriculum planning, and process improvement. Assist in the day-to-day
operations of the Education Office and serve as a backup coordinator to the fellowship and medical student programs. Special
projects and duties as assigned.

You will work independently to meet established goals and deadlines with oversight from the Medical Education Manager. You must use initiative and independent judgement and discretion in determining the best approach to accomplish stated objectives to complete assignments.

 

Qualifications

  • Skill in operating a PC including use of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook, and other online programs.
  • Ability to use specialized educational software to record PowerPoint presentations with audio and complete the video processing of the lectures.
  • Skill in writing and editing correspondence with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and with speed and accuracy.
  • Skill in coordinating special events by determining place, time, and arranging catering, parking, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic math to compile and construct tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Skill in operating basic audiovisual equipment, such as LCD projector, slide projector, Audience Response System and microphone systems.
  • Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend days and evenings, as needed.
  • Ability to handle sensitive documents and matters with discretion. Ability to identify matters of a confidential nature and uphold standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Knowledge of University's Medical Education Systems.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Residency Application Service Program
  • Knowledge of National Matching Programs
  • Knowledge of Virtual Conferencing systems: Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge of Scheduling Applications: ERAS Scheduler and Thalamus, OnCall (Amion)
    Familiar of mobile app based programs: Medhub and SIMPL
  • Familiar of Resident General Board Requirements for Residency Training Programs (AUA, ABU, ABOG, ABOto)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
