Job Summary

The Full Stack Web Developer role is primarily responsible for maintaining, improving, and extending Drexel University website properties and underlying CMS systems (Optimizely, formerly Episerver), Azure Cloud hosting, SQL Server databases, custom internal websites and tools, landing page builder platforms (Unbounce), third-party lead management API integrations (Salesforce), VMware Managed Virtual Servers, and other associated backend processes. This role requires a strong working knowledge of and experience with backend and frontend technologies: C# (6.0) using MVC (5.2) on .Net framework (4.6.1), T-SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity or experience with NPM, Vue.js, Bootstrap and Sitecore is preferred, as future iterations of our website may be built utilizing these frameworks. This position will be on a small team with a flexible work schedule and requires being able to work well independently while maintaining regular communication via Skype, Microsoft Teams and email.

Essential Functions
  • Design, develop, maintain, and extend the current website (online.drexel.edu) and its underlying processes. Support Drexel.edu development projects as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the IT infrastructure by assisting in data modeling and processing across multiple platforms.
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies, processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Work closely with Business and Marketing departments to ensure all internal processes are efficient, optimized, and automated wherever possible.
  • Support legacy internal tools while progressively migrating to more modern solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS or related field required - or Equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a professional web developer is required.

  • This is a hybrid/flexible work arrangement.
