Job Description:

Successful candidates will hold UF appointments in emergency medicine and will have an active role in EMS direction, fellow education, and development of prehospital medicine scholarship. The UF Department of Emergency Medicine is affiliated with UF Health Shands Hospital, a 1,162 bed teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma center and burn center that serves as the major referral center for North Central Florida.

Our EMS faculty ​are medical directors of numerous EMS agencies across 6 counties. They direct two paramedic and EMT schools and serve in state and local EMS leadership roles. The Department of Emergency Medicine supports an ACGME accredited fellowship and a Global Health fellowship with an EMS track. From an academic perspective, the successful candidate will have a strong desire to teach trainees at all levels. They will work closely with education and research faculty to build an academic portfolio capable of supporting promotion.
