Job Summary
The Outreach Program Coordinator reports to the Continuing Education Director under the auspices of the Office of the Dean in the College of General Studies(CGS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). This position provides staff support to the UWM CGS Continuing Education department and includes a variety of duties as assigned. The Coordinator's main responsibility is to build community awareness and provide oversight to customized trainings to ensure positive client outcomes. Additionally, the position holder will help to implement a plan of action for small business activities, conferences, and educational opportunities that can help build connections UWM CGS with the business community throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
This position will report to the Washington County campus in West Bend, WI.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years' experience in a business training
role
- At least 2 years' experience in an administrative support
role
- Proficiency in operating a variety of office equipment (e.g.,
computer, copier, scanner, mail)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Adobe suite applications
(e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications - Post-Baccalaureate Degree, Continuing Education, and/or
certificates
- Experience with leadership training
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Experience in customer service and/or sales community outreach
roles within higher education settings
- Experience working with diverse populations
