Job Description:

As a senior member of the Graduate Admissions Team, the Senior Assistant Director oversees all aspects of applicant engagement throughout the admissions lifecycle. Most importantly, the Senior Assistant Director will serve as the lead admission officer and subject matter expert on the team for application conversion and evaluation processes.

The Senior Assistant Director will supervise a team of two Admissions Advisors who engage directly (via phone, email, chat, or text) with prospective students, providing timely inquiry response and follow-up, accurate admissions information, and personalized coaching and support.

This position also includes the design, development, and delivery of effective engagement communications campaigns for all phases of the admissions process including automated email nurture, direct outreach, and effective follow-up and re-engagement campaigns. As a key function of the role, this individual is also responsible for identifying areas of improvement and ensuring all student needs are being met from a customer service aspect.

Major Responsibilities

  • Serves as senior admission officer and establishes baseline goals and needs for application evaluation.
  • Manages two full-time Admission Advisors who, as a collective, develop strategies and timelines for application submission and evaluation.
  • Plans and executes on-campus and virtual events for prospective students.
  • Delivers effective and timely messaging and personal support to prospective students throughout the admissions lifecycle.
  • Designs critical engagement messaging and effective communications workflows for each segment of the admissions lifecycle.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to develop the most effective marketing messages, web content, and recruiting communications to connect student interest with Clark graduate programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role, admission experience highly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience of full-time employees required.
  • Significant communications experience in a customer service, marketing, sales, or enrollment/admissions setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, support, and lead a team of outreach and advising professionals in a complex and evolving product environment.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and digital communications toolsets.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and excel in a growth-oriented and constantly evolving environment.
  • Dedication to high quality communications and customer focused service
  • Ability to serve as "Subject Matter Expert" for complex admissions-related information, FAQs and advising knowledge base.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and constantly improve systems and process to deliver optimal outcomes.
