Position Overview
The Project Manager (PM) will support the growth of the Master’s Across Boundaries (MAB) program within the Opus College of Engineering. The PM will implement high-level program initiatives and lead cross-functional teams. This person will work closely with industry partners to identify future talent needs and create programs that will develop these skills for the future.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the exploration and development of industry-academia partnerships
- Develop courses or workshops to meet the needs of practicing engineers throughout their career
- Increase engagement opportunities to increase enrollment in graduate programs
- Help to identify and recruit practicing engineers to serve as Adjunct faculty within the college’s programs
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Master-level degree; either engineering degree or MBA
- Minimum of demonstrated work experience of 10+ years is required.
- Experienced based knowledge of working as an engineer or in engineering/manufacturing companies
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams, lead change, create new programs
- The employee will be visiting industry partner locations, so this may include manufacturing facilities.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Preference for any professional certifications (P.E., PMP, ASQ Quality Manager, Six Sigma)
