The successful candidate will be a member of a diverse department that serves early childhood education, elementary/middle education, special education (K-12), and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL, K-12) programs. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in STEM education.

We seek an educator and scholar who actively connects theory and practice in the classroom, advances the field of teacher education, and brings a current understanding of pedagogical best practices to their teaching, scholarship, and service. Candidates who have experience teaching courses with culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse students are strongly encouraged to apply. Courses taught will include but are not limited to Field Experience II: Middle Level; Philosophy and Curriculum for Young Adolescent Learners; Student Teaching Seminar for Elementary/Middle Education (grades K-9) majors, and Special Education courses that align with the expertise of the candidate. A successful hire with expertise in STEM education will also teach Science Methods courses for majors in Elementary/Middle Education and/or Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 3).
