Gannon University's College of Engineering and Business (CEB) is seeking to fill an exciting position for a 12-month teaching-track position. A teaching track position carries a 27-credit load per academic year. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will be comprised of 15 teaching credits during an academic year and support for the Center of Manufacturing and Technology operations equivalent to the other 12 teaching credits. The appointment for this position will begin in January 2023, May 2023 or August 2023.

Requirements for this position include an M.S. or comparable degree in either Technology, Industrial Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, and Engineering Technology or a closely related field. The preferred candidate's expertise should be in the areas of Supply Chain Engineering/Management, and/or related fields. The candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the supply chain ramifications of model-based manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Industrial Internet-of-Things (IoT). Experience working as an industrial engineer, professional registration/certification, and/or teaching experience in higher education will be a plus. The successful candidate will provide a dynamic and innovative classroom and lab experience for students and industrial partners, in addition to designing new courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will be responsible for the coordination of multi-disciplinary senior design projects. The preferred candidate must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to supervise and initiate activities at Gannon University's Center for Manufacturing and Technology (CMT), as well as work with a diverse group of faculty engaged in cutting-edge, manufacturing-related projects. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to teach both in the engineering and business schools, develop creative approaches to student engagement in the classroom and community using state-of-the-art research resources in our labs, and leverage existing collaborations with partners to foster research and product development within the university and our immediate community. The College of Engineering and Business (CEB) promotes a strong entrepreneurial mindset. There is also an opportunity to interact with regional entrepreneurs through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI). Faculty can develop their own projects and make use of services from SBDC and ETI.
