Purpose of Position
The Assistant Director of Processing Services supervises the Admissions Processing Team who is responsible for overseeing and directing the processing of Undergraduate and Graduate applications for admissions (19,000+ annually).
Primary Responsibilities
• Leads the Admissions Processing Team (undergraduate and graduate application processing) with direction from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Associate Director of Operations, Technology, and Compliance, and the Director of Graduate Education.
• Supervises Admissions Processing Coordinator and Specialists.
• Develops training materials to ensure quality control is in place.
• Trains all new Office of Admissions staff members on SAP, admissions policies/procedures, and admissions requirements.
• Responsible for weekly application statistical reporting.
• Responsible for the admission application and decision-related correspondence in Slate.
• Manages the Common Application review and implementation each year.
• Coordinates top-level data reports for the Director of Admissions, Associate Director, AVP for Enrollment and Financial Assistance, and VP for Enrollment and Degree Management.
• Works in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology to support the online application for admissions.
• Oversees admit and denial process of undergraduate applicants.
• Responsible for all correspondence to applicants and admits.
• Oversees the Application and Enrollment Waiver process in conjunction with the Director of Admissions.
• Coordinates the Early Scheduling Survey process for newly admitted freshmen with the Assistant Director of Communications and Technology.
• Coordinates all onsite admissions programs.
• Tracks all transfer 2NKU programs applicants and statistics.
• Serves as the liaison with the Office of the Registrar, Institutional Research, and School-Based Scholars Program.
• Provides university catalog updates.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years of related experience required.
• Experience utilizing an Information System, in a higher education system is preferred (e.g., Slate, SAP )
• Development of analytic reporting using Excel and Access.
• Excellent communication and management/supervision skills, administrative system implementation experience, and strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Superior customer service experience. Extremely detail orientated, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prepare and deliver professional presentations.
• Must have the ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions in an often high-volume work environment.
