Position Title
Leadership Giving Officer

Overview

Connect with top annual giving prospects, secure leadership-level annual gifts, and qualify prospects for major gift potential. Contribute to the overall goals of The Fund for Providence College and the Advancement team.

Essential Duties:

1. Effectively manage a portfolio of 250-300 prospects with leadership giving potential which includes developing and maintaining relationships with key leadership gift (and prospective leadership gift) constituents as assigned. Ensures effective qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of constituents. Increase levels of annual and long-term engagement and giving within assigned constituents. Solicitations are focused on increasing support to The Fund for Providence College with specific metrics as assigned.

2. Complete a minimum of 150 face-to-face visits with prospects. Effectively utilize CRM for all aspects of portfolio management including tracking of all contacts, visits, and solicitations with comprehensive contacts and trip reports.

3.Work to maximize fundraising productivity; provide staff support and develop productive working relationships with staff, faculty, deans, administrators, and key volunteers.

Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Three to five years of previous fundraising or similar experience at a university or other comparable organization or equivalent professional experience in sales, marketing, training, or public relations required.
  • Willingness/ability to travel extensively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing ability and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software
