Instructor of Humanities

The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, term, Instructor of Humanities. The start date of this position is Fall 2023.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of an MA in humanities or a closely related field is required.
• Ability to teach undergraduate students.
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The candidate will be expected to teach some combination of general education courses in English composition, history, philosophy, film, and/or music appreciation.
• Additional duties may include advising students, serving on university committees, assisting with recruitment activities and/or engaging in ongoing assessment.
