The Department of Management, Information Systems and
Quantitative Methods in the
UAB Collat School of Business seeks a non-tenure-track Instructor
of Management. Appli-
cants should have teaching experience in higher education with
specific expertise in teach-
ing a range of management courses to undergraduate business
students, as well as more
advanced topics in management for both graduate and undergraduate
students. Candidates
with a background in teaching management, organizational behavior,
human resource man-
agement, operations management, and a wide range of other
management-related courses
will find outstanding opportunities to teach in these areas at
UAB.
Primary teaching responsibilities include graduate and
undergraduate courses in man-
agement or related disciplines. Specific teaching assignments
include development and
delivery of both online and face-to-face courses, requiring
knowledge and experience in
using the Canvas Learning Management System. UAB has excellent
teaching facilities
and support, including multimedia classrooms and computer equipment
and software to
meet teaching needs.

expected starting date of ap-
pointment is January 1, 2023. Salary is competitive. Interested

Requirements
Applicants for this full time position must have an MBA or
equivalent masters degree with a
minimum of 18 graduate semester hours credit in Management or
closely related courses as
well as 5 years experience in an executive management position.
Applicants must be adept
at teaching both on-line and face to face courses. Additionally,
he/she will help design and
implement curriculum and actively promote the Management and Human
Resource Man-
agement Programs at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Preferred qualifications include a doctoral degree in a management discipline.
