Lecturer of Gender and Women’s Studies and Asian Studies
Department of Interdisciplinary Studies
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Gender and Women’s Studies and Asian Studies faculty position in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies (ISD) beginning January 2023.
This position includes teaching a variety of undergraduate courses for two ISD programs: Gender and Women’s Studies (GWST) and Asian Studies. Excellence in teaching and engagement is expected of all faculty members in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU. Faculty in the department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Current teaching load is 5/4, with university service obligation.
Master of Arts degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Gender and Women’s Studies, Asian Studies, or a closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in GWST and Asian Studies is required.
Preferred Qualifications Include
- Ph.D. preferred
- Previous experience teaching college-level courses preferred
- Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
