Job Details
Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for Student Coordinator, GEAR UP Grant. The Student Coordinator assists with the planning, development, and management of grant student related activities. This position works with campus, faculty, staff, and part-time workers to organize related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and oversees plans for student outreach and retention
- Works with Academic Advisors to recruit students for grant programs and act as liaison with area high schools
- Supports the coordination and implementation of the grant project
- Works closely with Department Chairs, Directors, and Deans to support grant implementation
- Assists with the preparation of grant related reports
- Composes support materials to enhance student recruitment and retention
- Identifies and works with constituents to establish outreach activities and transfer opportunities for students
- Monitors and documents project progress under the provisions of the grant
- Works in compliance with the program budget
- Supervises part-time grant program personnel
- Participates in relevant campus and college subcommittees
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in STEM, education or related discipline with one (1) year of experience in educational administration or Bachelor’s degree in STEM, education or related discipline with five (5) years of experience in educational administration
