Student Financial Services

Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Director of Financial Aid serves as a senior leader in the Enrollment Division. Must have effective change management, regulatory knowledge, and data analysis skills to effectively lead the financial aid team within Student Financial Services. Participates in recruitment planning for enrollment, and in retention efforts for continuing students. Responsible for compliance with federal regulatory updates. Plans the annual file review updates and oversees analysis and awarding procedures. Assists in the preparation and submission of institutional, state and federal reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required. 5-10 years of progressive responsibility in Financial Aid. Adept at public speaking. Collaborative work style a must. Comfort with technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years in Financial Aid administration. Extreme knowledge of federal regulations and the intricacies of joint processes on a college campus. Ability to write ad hoc reports in Banner. Excellent supervisory and mentoring skills. Experience with leading and supervising a financial aid team.
