Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of the McNulty Leadership Program, the Senior Advisor oversees the delivery of the Nonprofit Board Fellows (NBF) program including building relationships with external partner organizations, managing the student experience, and carrying out administrative duties related to program delivery. Responsibilities include design, planning and delivery of the NBF curriculum, planning and delivery of student events, meeting with student fellows to help them navigate their board experience and potential obstacles, and managing the administrative components of the program.

Job Description

The Senior Advisor will ensure that the Nonprofit Board Fellows program runs smoothly - that external partnerships get the time and care required, that students serving on boards receive the expert counsel and the training sessions necessary for success, and that program logistics get the attention and precision required for top-notch execution.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Stakeholder management with executive leaders at NBF partner organizations
  • Program design and delivery
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Advising work with student fellows
  • Vendor management and expense management
  • Documentation of programming
  • Program handoff to new the Associate Director once hired


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, and 10-15 years related experience, preferably in a university setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Must have strong relational skills, including regular contact with senior executives. Must have experience and interest in project management, student support and community engagement. Must possess excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
