The University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Business Administration invites applications for non-tenure system faculty position(s) in the Department of Information and Decision Sciences. The department offers courses and conducts research in business analytics, information systems, and supply chain & operations management.  Of particular interest are candidates with teaching interests in areas related to (1) application development, enterprise IT, data management, and modern software systems, (2) machine learning and data science, (3) various aspects of artificial intelligence in business, and (4) digital supply chains, platforms, and sustainability.

Non-tenure system faculty in the College of Business teach courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their field of expertise and provide service to the department, college, and/or campus. Non-tenure system faculty at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Professor make intellectual contributions to their discipline through basic or applied research and/or activities that translate disciplinary scholarship to a professional audience. The Department of Information and Decision Sciences offers undergraduate, MS, and PhD programs in information systems, business analytics and operations management. Programs include industry-based capstone project experience for students. The department seeks candidates dedicated to teaching and promoting student success. Effective teaching, incorporating current methods, tools and industry practices, and engaging with industry are key to this role.

Qualifications:

For consideration for all ranks, a bachelor’s degree and five years or relevant professional experience or training.

For consideration for the rank of Lecturer, a Master’s degree is additionally required.

For consideration for the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor a terminal degree (e.g. PhD or equivalent) is additionally required.

For consideration for the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Teaching Professor a terminal degree in business or field related to the teaching domain is required.
