Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred.
  • Experience: General video production work, ability to set up and operate audio and video equipment. Valid NYS driver ’ s license required.
  • Special Skills: Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with both equipment and people. Ability to teach.
General Functions:

Provide technical and production support for the public access television operation including broadcasting and recording local events and meetings, providing basic training to program students learning camera operation and production direction, and operation of the FLTV broadcast server and related inputs. Coordinate operations with FLTV clients, including municipal governments and local organizations, and with FLCC faculty and staff.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities needed to broadcast public access programming on the cable system, a web channel and social media and other platforms.
  • Set up, test and operate audio and visual equipment for live broadcasts and recording sessions of municipal meetings and events.
  • Pre- and post-production work, including editing and graphics.
  • Maintain best practices for equipment.
  • Provide basic instruction in camera operation and production direction to students in FLCC classes and provide attendance records and basic evaluations to FLCC faculty.
  • Order, inventory and manage equipment and supplies.
  • Schedule programming on the FLTV broadcast server and create bulletin board announcements submitted by users.
  • Work with vendors as needed on updates and maintenance of broadcast server.
