The University of Washington Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine and UW Medical Center-Northwest are recruiting a full-time Assistant, Associate or full Professor without tenure by reason of funding, Interventional cardiologist at UW Medical Center-Northwest (NW). Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate Professor and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that all align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position is anticipated to February 1, 2023 or after..

The NW campus of the University of Washington Medical Center offers comprehensive cardiovascular services.  The successful candidate will have opportunities to grow a robust interventional practice and will include scheduled lab time to perform diagnostic angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions. This position allows individuals to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington, as well as opportunities to be involved in medical education. The successful candidate will have opportunities to teach trainees in the catheterization laboratory, inpatient setting and outpatient clinic.  All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. 

 

 

 

Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care and education with interests in interventional cardiology.  Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in interventional cardiology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
