Program Coordinator
About the Opportunity
The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in developing and implementing strategies related to a variety of academic special projects for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). The Program Coordinator will address ongoing faculty, student, and staff needs related to teaching, research, and service. He/she will: facilitate all activities of undergraduate and graduate studies committees and assist with faculty search committees; organize course registration and manage the scheduling and room assignments for all undergraduate and graduate course offerings and seminars; support the department's data infrastructure and maintain department records of student progress toward degree/program completion; coordinate with college advising and assist with the college's programmatic initiatives; assist student organizations with events and activities; provide guidance to faculty and students on all departmental, college, and university policies and procedures related to undergraduate and graduate programs. The Program Coordinator will also provide supplemental support for college and university marketing and communications initiatives. This may include coordinating and carrying out work related to CEE events designed to increase the department's visibility across stakeholder groups. The Program Coordinator will work with the front office in completing general administrative tasks related to front office activities. Responsibilities include being first point of contact for visitors, students, faculty and staff; data entry; report preparation; and scheduling.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a minimum of two years' experience with academic and administrative projects. Experience with event coordination a plus.

to fine detail, commitment to quality
- Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written
communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple demands from demanding
constituencies
- Must be able to consistently produce high quality work under
tight deadlines
- Must demonstrate a professional presence and maturity in
dealing with a variety of audiences, external and internal to the
university
- Must have a positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative,
and ability to function effectively as member of a team in a
dynamic and exciting work environment
- Responsive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement,
and high integrity.
