Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for two Specialist Professor in the Health and Physical Education department. These positions are for the 2022-2023 academic year and are two-year appointments with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. The Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies has 38 full-time faculty, 14 staff, and close to 1,000 students. The School offers undergraduate health studies, health promotion, health and physical education; master's physician assistant; doctoral occupational therapy; undergraduate, master's, and doctoral nursing programs; as well as post-master's and post-baccalaureate certificates and continuing education programs.



Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Doctoral degree, ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion expected by date of employment

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Required Years of Experience:

Other Requirements:
An earned doctoral degree in health, exercise science, or kinesiology or a related field.

Faculty must have documented expertise in their area(s) of teaching responsibility. Demonstrated (or potential to demonstrate) ongoing disciplinary currency and/or scholarly achievement. Ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
One year of teaching experience at a college or university. Experience teaching health studies or health promotion courses, with priority to health research methods, sport and exercise psychology, strategies for healthy living, lifespan development and health, or health policy courses. A record of commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.
