Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for On-Call Standardized Patients in the Monmouth University and Monmouth Medical Center Linda Grunin Simulation Lab and Learning Center located at the Monmouth Corporate Park on Route 36 in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

A standardized patient (SP) provides students in nursing, medicine, physician assistant, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work, and other health professions with the opportunity to develop, practice, and enhance therapeutic communication, interviewing, physical examination, and non-invasive technical skills under the supervision of the Linda Grunin Simulation Lab and Learning Center Director, and/or faculty. The SP will be trained to portray people with a variety of health needs, implement case scenarios in a consistent manner to different students, and provide evaluation feedback to students on their interactions. The SP position requires a flexible work schedule on an on-call basis as needed. This is a per diem position with advance scheduling and no minimum hours of work guaranteed.

Training and/or experience in health professions, communication, behavioral sciences, or education is beneficial, but not required. Standardized patient and/or acting training or experience is preferred, but not essential.
