Position Summary Information

Position Summary
Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full time temporary Instructor in the department of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Writing to teach beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish language and cultures courses during the spring 2023 semester. Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Spanish Languages and Cultures or equivalent required. Native or near native ability in Spanish and English. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the education of diverse population. Successful performance in an interview and teaching demonstration. Preferred Qualifications
At least five years of experience teaching Spanish at the University level. We seek the following qualities in the successful candidate: demonstratable commitment to diversity, extensive knowledge of Hispanic cultures and the Spanish language, proven record of engagement in the profession, evidence of enthusiasm for teaching and institutional service. Evidence of effective online teaching.
