Carroll University (CU) is seeking a Lecturer of Nursing for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Candidates who are innovative and value a dynamic and comprehensive approach to curriculum and instruction, enjoy interacting with students and other health care professionals, and deliver inter-professional education are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibilities of this 9-month position are teaching and service within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
- Teaching and course assignments are based on the successful candidate's expertise, preference, and department needs.
- Currently, clinical practice courses are the greatest need.
Qualifications
- MSN degree required, Doctoral Degree (PhD, DNP) preferred.
- Broad clinical nursing experience, a documented record of teaching, clinical expertise and current Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Wisconsin is required.

- Instructional Faculty salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
The Department
- The Department of Nursing is approved by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing, with the BSN being accredited by CCNE through 2030.
- The Department houses Carroll's most extensive program, the BSN (~500 students), a Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Educator and Direct Entry), and an Associate's Degree in Nursing at the United Community Center in Milwaukee.
- Since 2010, Carroll BSN graduates have had an above-average NCLEX RN pass rate of 95%-100%.
- The program utilizes a state-of-the-art, 15,000 square foot, nursing simulation laboratories in the Douglas N. and Nancy J. Hastad Hall and the Henke Nursing Center.
- The Department of Nursing has a strong record of private foundation support and federal grant funding through the Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Health and Human Services (HHS).
- Current practicum affiliations include all major health systems throughout southeastern Wisconsin and community health agencies.
The College
- The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments- Athletic Training, Human Movement Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy and Public Health, accounting for ~60% of the University enrollment.
- The mission of the College of Health Science is to educate students to be innovative professionals who collaborate to serve the health needs of their communities.
- College foci include interprofessional education and practice, an integrated approach to health, innovative learning and healthcare technologies, community partnerships and service to medically underserved populations.
- The new Carroll University Community Health Services building was recently purchased and renovated to support these activities.
