Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor

Position Location: Wingate Main Campus

Wingate University’s Department of Chemistry and Physics seeks to hire a new colleague in Physics for Fall 2023. The position is full-time and security track.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching general physics lecture classes

• Teaching general physics laboratory classes

• Advising Students

• Serving on university committees

• Supervising undergraduate research

• Regular, predictable attendance on campus

• Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap

• Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ph.D. in Physics or Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry

• Commitment to actively support and advance DEI initiatives
