Biology Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.  Biology Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.  Elon University’s Biology Department seeks a biologist to join a dynamic faculty committed to providing an exceptional undergraduate education in support of the Biology department and Elon’s Nursing Program. This tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level will begin in August 2023. A Ph.D. in a biological science is required, along with a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship in a complementary subdiscipline.  Primary teaching responsibilities include human physiology, microbiology and cell biology lectures and laboratories.  Other courses could include upper-level electives (in area of expertise), and courses in Elon’s Core Curriculum. Curricular advising and mentoring undergraduate research experiences, as well as service to the department and university is also expected. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
