  • Provide direction and oversight to the targeted recruitment of high-achieving students regarding the Honors College, Athletics, and the Operation Bahamas including all related strategic communication plans and programming. Utilizing benchmarking and research to ensure pre-college programs, honors offerings, and application review policies and procedures are reflective of the nations and competitors’ best practices. develop short and long-term strategic recruitment plans for the University’s high-achieving student recruitment goals; work with the Dean of Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions, Academic Liaisons, Honors Program Director and staff, and other University constituents to develop focused, integrated, and data-driven recruitment plans which align with the University’s Strategic Priorities.
  • Conduct 4-6 weeks of recruitment travel a year, admission application review, prospective student information sessions and other presentations, and counselor on duty responsibilities; serve as a member of the Extended Admissions Leadership Team. Other territory manager duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate recruitment, communications, and application review.
  • Directly supervise a full-time admission territory manager at the admission counselor or assistant director level.
  • Coordinate the integration of honors program changes into communications, processes, applications, and training.
  • In conjunction with admission senior leadership, develop and oversee budget lines associated with high achieving student programming.

  • Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues
  • Knowledge of university admissions policies, standards, and procedures
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Skill in the use of computerized systems and databases
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Ability to travel on occasion outside the metropolitan area
  • Ability to design and write promotional material
  • Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Travel extensively. Must be able to travel & work at night and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry 30 pounds and transport admissions material.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
