Salary & Benefits:                     Salary is $41,493.44. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

The Office Supervisor organizes and directs the clerical and functional operations within an assigned department, office or program.  This position also provides initial support to students, staff, and community members who have questions or concerns before referral to leadership.

 

 

 

Responsibilities and duties include:

 

  • Provide oversite and management of staff and/or operations with delegated authority within assigned department, office or program area.  
  • Exercise independent judgement in addressing the daily concerns of internal and external constituents; may act on behalf of the supervisor in their absence.
  • Determine how and when issues should be escalated to supervisor.
  • Delegate and assign duties as required to meet department goals.
  • Assist in the tasks of daily office management, which may include payroll, budget reports, ordering supplies, travel, or scheduling.
  • Evaluate departmental, office or program operations and activities; recommend improvements and modifications.
  • Coordinate the hiring process including completion of required documents and making recommendations for new hires and terminations.
  • Provide training, coaching, discipline and evaluation of direct reports.
  • Provide administrative support and leadership through completion of assignments, which may include researching, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data for special projects, programs, and various comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation of annual, quarterly, or administrative reports.
  • Assist with maintaining the budget including tracking of expenditures and coordinating purchasing activities.
  • Maintain calendars of department or office activities, meetings and various events; coordinate activities with other departments, offices, students, the public and outside agencies.
  • May assist in the development or upkeep of the department/area webpage.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Comply with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Reports to: Interim Director, Blount Center

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required:  Associate degree and four years of related work experience or a combination of completed education and related work experience equal to six years.

 

 

 

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

 

 

 

Preferred: Prior supervisory or management experience. Bookkeeping and budgeting experience.
