Job Details

Established in 2018, the Division of Diversity and Inclusion’s (D and I) mission is to provide leadership and services, and to advocate for access, equity and inclusion for historically marginalized and systematically underserved populations. We aspire to create a learning environment in which we prioritize critical thinking, analytical dialogue, and meaningful educational interactions for the collective campus, local, regional, and state-wide communities. The Division creates an inclusive environment for preparedness, global awareness and service to others. The Division of D and I includes the offices of: ACCESS Center, Center for Transformative Justice, Office of Multicultural Student Services, Pride Center, Student Support Services and McNair Scholars.

The iAVC will oversee the revamping of various D and I campus internal and external communications, marketing, and branding. In addition, the iAVC will assist the Interim Vice Chancellor for D and I to pursue opportunities to promote the success and engagement of students.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the assessment of the D and I Division, assisting with the coordination of a diversity training program for employees, and engaging in program and policy development as it relates to the campus strategic plan.

This position is an interim position, with an approximate, anticipated 2-year commitment. Should the university decide to fill the permanent vacancy, the candidate for this position is welcome to apply for this position.
