Job Summary: The Department of Social Work at SUNY Brockport invites application materials for a full-time, tenure-track, 10-month assistant professor position to start August 2023. Teach a 3/3 course load in a CSWE accredited masters social work program teaching across the curriculum, including but not limited to diversity, research, practice and field seminars. Responsibilities also include participation in the advisement of students, governance, scholarship, service, and committee work.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited US Department of Education or internationally recognized college or university. ABD candidates will be considered and must earn their doctorate within 6 months of hire.
  • A NYS Social work license at the LMSW level is required within one year of appointment.
  • A MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution.
  • Ability to teach courses across the curriculum.
  • At least two years of post-MSW direct social work practice experience.
  • Demonstrated ability for research and scholarly activities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work with culturally diverse populations.
