Job Description:

Summary: Scholarships are an important part of our work at Pensacola State College (PSC) and the PSC Foundation. The Coordinator of Foundation Scholarships and Financial Aid will play a crucial role in ensuring PSC students have access to the financial support they need to pursue their dreams of higher education and brighter futures. This position will also develop relationships with the generous donors and community partners who make these scholarships possible. This position will assist the Director of Foundation Scholarships with the management and oversight of 300+ privately funded scholarships. Some duties of this position include: coordinating events, auditing, preparing reports, maintaining consistent communication with relevant departments across the College, and various administrative tasks. An ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for building relationships and helping others, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, have experience with Excel and Microsoft Office, be comfortable working at a desk in front of a computer, and have prior experience in higher education. This position will work in the Pensacola State College Foundation and will report to the Director of Foundation Scholarships.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an associate degree and proven success utilizing Microsoft Office Suite. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer familiarity with, and understanding of, federal and state financial aid regulations; experience working in a high volume/high traffic customer service office; experience determining eligibility for assistance based on compliance regulations; experience in a document scanning environment; and balancing and accounting experience.

*Per F.S. 295.065 – Certain servicemembers and veterans, and the spouses and family members of such servicemembers and veterans, will receive preference and priority, and certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE: $27,825.00 - $32,500.00
