Division of Programs in Business


The NYU School of Professional Studies, Division of Programs in Business, is seeking engaging, experienced financial planners to teach financial planning graduate courses part-time in its degree program in Spring 2023.

The Division is actively seeking candidates who have experience working with a diverse base of professionals and/or teaching a diverse population of students and can teach the following evening courses in-person

  • Estates, Gifts, and Trusts
  • Research Applications in Financial Planning
  • Applied Behavioral Finance
  • Money and Relationships
  • Personal Finance Analytics
  • Investment Data Analytics

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have

  • Master’s degree in financial planning (preferred) or a related discipline
  • CFP® certification
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field
  • 1-2 years of client-facing experience
  • The ability and skills to develop and deliver impactful and engaging course work and program materials in the financial planning domain
  • Experience in public speaking or corporate training
  • Teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated continuous professional development in the field


Division of Programs in Business
The NYU Division of Programs in Business provides applied, professional education for students interested in becoming leaders in the functional areas of a business: marketing, human resources, management and technology, and finance. Students from around the world are immersed in highly relevant curricular and co-curricular experiences that combine academic theory and the rich professional expertise of industry practitioners with global experience, rooted in New York City’s business community. This creates a dynamic teaching and learning environment in which students gain and apply practical skills to solve complex, real-world problems of business and society.

The Division of Programs in Business is committed to the School’s mission of bringing diverse and cross-disciplinary perspectives and the principles of inclusion into academics. The Division offers both credit and continuing education programs. In the most recent academic year, there were more than 2,000 graduate students in seven Master’s programs, and 1,000 noncredit enrollments in various career advancement and continuing education programs.
