JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Industrial and Organizational (I-O) psychology. Area of concentration is open. The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and master's level graduate courses in I-O psychology, tests and measurement, statistics, and/or research methods, along with additional courses of the candidate's choosing. Successful candidates will have demonstrated potential for success in pursuing extramural funding and the ability to supervise, mentor, and involve undergraduate and graduate students in their program of research. A Ph.D. is expected at the time of appointment, but ABD candidates will be considered. The start date for the position is August 15, 2023.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
The newly hired faculty member will have opportunities to teach from a wide selection of our current departmental course offerings, both core and elective courses. Our department has both an undergraduate concentration in I-O psychology, as well as a nationally ranked MSIO psychology degree program. Examples of possible courses for this position include undergraduate industrial psychology; and organizational psychology; as well as graduate classes in talent acquisition and legal issues; performance management and compensation; motivation and leadership; diversity, work, and family; occupational health psychology; and organizational development and training. Applicants must exhibit a strong ability to publish peer-reviewed research in their area of expertise and express the capability to mentor students in their area. In addition, qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines. Ideally, the candidate's research agenda would have the potential for future extramural funding. Finally, the newly hired faculty member will also be encouraged to contribute to applied consulting projects via the recently approved, student-driven and faculty-led, self-sustaining Center for Effective Organizational Solutions consulting center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level at a comprehensive university.
- Experience advising and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds, non-traditional students, and first-generation students.
- Potential for securing external funding will also be a consideration.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, publications, and innovation is valued.
- Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and programmatic leadership experience is preferred and should be noted in your application.

The Department of Psychology is one of the largest departments at CSUSB, with 25 full-time and 22 part-time faculty, 105 graduate students, and 2,100 undergraduate majors. The department offers one undergraduate major in Psychology with three formal concentrations - General Psychology, Biological Psychology, and Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In addition, the department houses three master's programs: Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Psychological Science, and Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
