Purpose of Position

To assist in the administration of student financial assistance programs with primary responsibility for the student employment program.

Primary Responsibilities

This position reviews, analyzes and inputs into SAP /HR and SIGMA ProSam information to enter students on payroll. This includes payroll for Institutional and Federal Student Employment and Student Stipend payments. The person in this position reviews incoming payroll paperwork for completeness; analyzes the student information to determine if the student employee is eligible for Federal or Institutional Student Employment through the SIGMA ProSam system; inputs to the SAP /HR system the student demographic information, tax information, I-9 information and bank information. Serves as contact to all university departments and students regarding all aspects of student employment. Monitor Federal Student Employee fund expenditures both on a departmental and student level. Verify student employee information for outside agencies. Maintains the Student Employment Supervisor email listing. Responsible for scanning and indexing student employment paperwork and other paper documents into the electronic file system. This position helps process in other areas of the financial aid office and work the client service area as needed and/or directed by Director or Associate Director.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus two years of experience. One to two years of college level courses and two years experience in modern office practices, procedures and equipment is highly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Person must be punctual. Must have ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must posses good interpersonal and organizational skills, have pleasant personality, must like helping people in person and on phone. Must show maturity in handling confidential information. Must have experience with a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and multi-line phone. All applicants must fill out an online staff/professional application.
