Position Summary:
The Graduate Communications Coordinator at the Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies works with the Graduate Faculty and the Graduate Administrative Team to successfully support student events, marketing & communications within the HFSGS.

JOB DUTIES:
Marketing & Communications
- Drafts web copy and updates; audits web pages and social media
accounts for traffic, corrections.
- Develop marketing and design materials for collateral and
social media; supports faculty in unified messaging for academic
programs.
- Manages HFSGS Social media channels and organizes content,
follower acquisition.
- Works with Director, Faculty and Enrollment Management to
coordinate the annual LookBook and associated marketing collateral
for HFSGS.
- Manages purchase and coordination of advertising for
HFSGS.
- Manages HFSGS e-blasts and newsletters through Constant
Contact.
Events & Student Activities
- Works with graduate faculty, students and leadership to
coordinate recruitment, academic and community events focused
within HFSGS.
- Amplifies visiting artists and scholars through internal and
external marketing and social media.
- Supports gallery openings and visiting artist events with
faculty within the Graduate School.
- Coordinates the review and selection process for Program and
Thesis awards during commencement.
- Creates HFSGS Thesis Event Program and Plan; identifies
galleries and spaces for thesis.
- Works with Administrative Coordinator to secure venues and
contracts for Thesis.
- Plans and executes Thesis promotion and marketing.
- Coordinates with student workers and Center for Contemporary
Art & Culture (CCAC) Exhibitions Staff to manage and install
student thesis work.
- Leads student tours as necessary.
- Maintains records and manages budgets related to scope of
work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Position requires a high degree of data literacy, office
management skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal
intelligence; consult supervisor when unsure of a
policy.
- Exercise of human relations skills is critical to the success
of this position. Position is key to maintaining important positive
college relations with PNCA faculty, staff, administration,
students, and members of the community and the public.
- Event management experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in
writing.
- Ability to plan and execute administrative tasks in an
organized and efficient manner.
- Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in
establishing and maintaining effective and positive working
relationships with college faculty, staff, administration,
students, and members of the community and the public.
- Maintain privacy of confidential documents.
- Must be proficient with Mac software, PowerPoint, Excel, Word,
and e-mail correspondence via Google Suite.
PRFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in higher education, sales/marketing, or related
fields is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is a preferred
skill.
Salary: $23.26 per hour
Typical Work Schedule:
Typically Monday - Friday during normal office hours. Some evening and weekend event support work will be expected.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Typical work is performed indoors in a normal office environment. Intermittent physical effort in event set up/take down may be required.
