The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration is recruiting for a Program Specialist. This position reports to the ADA/504 Compliance Manager. This role provides dedicated support for accessibility/compliance related initiatives, including the development of PCC’s Comprehensive Transition Plan. This position will also support administrative and budget related processes within the department.

The successful candidate will be joining a campus community of dedicated professionals who work to improve institutional capacity for ensuring equal access to our college's programs and other offerings. Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience working in post-secondary environments, or in an organization with a complex structure.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal and state disability civil rights laws and regulations (Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, etc.) and their requirements for the built environment, digital environment, and program access.
  • Demonstrated experience with performing administrative functions, including the coordination of meetings, preparing, editing documents/reports, reviewing data, and making relevant recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently, with strong proactive troubleshooting skills, and an ability to collaborate with others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a strong equity lens, and experience supporting a variety of stakeholders from a broad spectrum of identities and lived experiences.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).



Associate’s degree or equivalent units (experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.)

Two years of responsible experience related to ADA/504 compliance or disability services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience, education, or training related to performing accessibility assessments in the built or digital environment.
  • Project or program management experience.
  • Experience performing office administrative duties (scheduling meetings, coordinating committees, taking meeting minutes, budget/financial processes).
Position Grade 20 Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $50,821 to $52,343 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $50821 to $81550 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age. Partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions (full-time employees only).

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
- Starts at 8 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of service)
- 8 hours of sick leave per month
- 24 hours of additional personal leave days per year - 12 Paid holidays

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment using standard office equipment. Use of computer hardware and software occurs on a daily basis. Duties typically involve managing multiple priorities, handling interruptions, deadlines and other work pressures.

Ability to utilize office equipment, hardware, software, and other tools required to communicate and perform essential job functions is required. Occasional lifting, guiding and/or carrying of light weight materials and equipment may be required.
Travel to PCC campus/center locations may be required.
