Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Wage: $3,338 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,338 - $4,913 per month
- This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing moderate to complex levels of general office, clerical, and secretarial support for students, faculty, and staff. Activities include processing mail, maintaining files and records, processing documents and records, entering data, preparing standard reports, interacting with and providing recommendations for problem resolution, and working with various department committees.
Key Qualifications
- Learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures
- Identify deviations from applicable policies
- Apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough and, at times, creative solutions
- Perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data
- Effectively present standard information in writing
- Understand, interpret, and communicate procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions
Education and Experience
- Completion of a high school program or its equivalent
- Two years of experience in an office environment

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with California State University, Fresno. The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
