We are now seeking an exceptional person to join us as our Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building (DAB). DAB is a creative and dynamic faculty which contributes to the transformation of urban life, contemporary design culture and the built environment through our high quality, innovative programs of research, teaching and professional education.


For 30 years, the Faculty has exemplified the best professional education across the design and built environment disciplines. With a staff of award-winning practitioners, respected educators and leading researchers, we seek to promote the public good through research and purposeful learning in our disciplines. The Faculty brings together Visual Communication, Product Design, Fashion and Textiles, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction, Project Management, Property Economics, Planning and Real Estate.


Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty, this role will provide academic and strategic leadership to support the University’s commitment to excellence and innovation which delivers real benefit for society. This role will be a member of the Faculty Executive and will work closely with the Dean on strategy and management matters and will deputise for the Dean as required. You will help to create a stimulating, innovative and inclusive cultural environment across the Faculty in which students and staff will thrive and develop. This position is also responsible for representing and promoting the Faculty both within and outside of the University.
