Overview
This position works a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Program Manager will support the ED and ensure the smooth ongoing operations of multiple grant-funded projects. This will include developing and tracking budgets in compliance with Sponsor funding and with program objectives, tracking program progress and grant reporting, support with human resources, and overall program management. Position responsibilities include drafting new proposal budgets, projecting and maintaining oversight of projects' spending, alerting ED of needed budget reallocations and developing re-budget requests as needed, addressing operational issues as they come up, reviewing contracts, and grant reporting.





Responsibilities
  • Facilitating finances for Prison Arts Collective
  • Tracking multiple programs projected and actual spending
  • Advising ED to maintain compliance with Sponsor funding requirements
  • Helping draft budgets for proposed projects and re-budgets for funded programs
  • Acting as liaison between PAC and SDSURF
  • Reviewing contracts and agreements
  • Addressing staff and partner questions and concerns as related to operations
  • Support for reporting on grant activities and financials
  • Supporting the reporting on the grants
  • Other duties assigned for support of the program




  • Qualifications
    • At least 2 years experience in a budgeting role or similar experience.
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience supervising and managing staff and programs.
    • Experience or knowledge about the criminal justice system and/or Arts in Corrections preferred.
    • Experience working with the Prison Arts Collective and a connection to the mission and vision of the program preferred.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills such as experience in accounting, economics, and statistics
    • BA degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, economics, statistics, political science, or sociology or related field and/or experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of the Google suite, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
    • Experience with PAC or another AIC organization is preferred but not required. Candidates with lived experience with the justice system will be carefully considered.
    • Experience with SDSURF policies, processes and practices preferred
